Exhibition marks 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence

“Islam and Humanity: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow’ - a photo exhibition opened in Nur-Sultan. It has become a part of thematic exhibitions, dedicated to world and traditional religions. It showcases 45 photographs. According to the organizers of the exhibition the preparation works lasted about a year.

“We tried to choose the photographs, which, in our opinion, best reflect the Islam and everyday life. The aim was to show that Islam is a peaceful religion. Like all other religions, it calls for spirituality. It is something that the modern world lacks sometimes,” said Bulat Sarsenbayev, Chairperson, Nazarbayev Center for Development of Interfaith and Intercivilization Dialogue.

The exhibition opened a series of international photo expositions, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence.
