International Circus Festival kicks off in Kazakh capital

The 13th international circus festival "Echo of Asia" kicked off in the Kazakh capital. It is a long-awaited event not only for domestic artists. The festival was put on hold during two-year coronavirus hiatus. This time, circus performers from 13 states, including Hungary, Italy, and the CIS countries, came to Kazakhstan. The festival consists of two programs with the participation of original aerialists, virtuoso jugglers, acrobats, equilibrists and clowns. In total, the number of participants reaches 86. The best representatives of the profession will be determined by the jury members.

“We have several prize sets, including three gold, three silver and three bronze medals. The main prize is, of course, the Grand Prix. The winners of the prize from the capital mayor and the audience choice award will also be determined. There are also special gifts brought by our guests that will be given to the contestants who perform at a high level,” noted Erik Zholzhaksynov, Director General of Nur-Sultan city circus.

Tomorrow Nur-Sultan will host a big press conference with the participation of foreign artists. The festival will run until August 28.
