Head of State receives Minister of Culture and Sports Dauren Abayev

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Minister of Culture and Sports. Dauren Abayev reported to the Head of State on the work carried out on the whole range of issues. He spoke about measures to increase the income of certain categories of citizens. In particular, the salaries of employees of certain cultural, arts and sports organizations have increased this year. The situation in the book publishing industry and the digitalization of archival repositories were also discussed at the meeting. Special attention was paid to the preparations of Kazakh athletes for major international sports events, including the 2024 Olympic Games. President Tokayev set a number of tasks for the Ministry regarding the popularization of mass and children’s sports and the promotion of national culture.
