5G network to be launched in three Kazakhstan cities by end of 2022

5G networks will be launched in three cities of Kazakhstan by the end of 2022, Kazinform International News Agency reported referring to the Kazakh Ministry of Digital Development, Innovations and Aerospace Industry. These are cities of national significance – Nur-Sultan, Almaty and Shymkent. This network will appear in regional centers in 2023-2025. The pilot 5G network was launched in the capital at the Astana Hub International Technopark of IT startups. The areas for base stations have already been determined in Almaty and Shymkent. 5G technology is being tested there as well.
