Issue on lowering retirement age of Kazakh citizens is on agenda, Tugzhanov says

The government plans to discuss the reduction of the retirement age. According to Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov, this topic is on the agenda. However, it will be considered in more detail as part of the Social Code by the end of the year with the participation of media.

“There will be several discussions. Miners are not the only ones raising this issue. As for women, today the actual average retirement age is 60-61 years. Therefore, the topic is on the agenda. We will discuss this,” said Yeraly Tugzhanov.

Earlier, member of the Mazhilis Yerlan Smailov proposed to reduce the retirement age for workers in harmful and hazardous industries.
