Shymkent becomes leader in investment attraction

Shymkent became the leader in attracting investment in fixed capital in 2021 and the first quarter of 2022. A little more than 462 billion tenge was invested in the metropolis, the official website of Kazakh Prime Minister reported. The city is followed by Aktobe and Kostanai regions. On the other hand, North Kazakhstan, West Kazakhstan and Kyzylorda regions wind up the outsiders in this respect. Among government agencies, the Ministry of Agriculture took the first place. The agency fulfilled the plan by almost 108.5 percent and attracted 893 billion tenge of capital. Next come the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry of the country.
