Kazakhstan continues to evacuate its citizens from Ukraine

Kazakhstan continues to evacuate its citizens from Ukraine. The domestic airline ‘Air Astana’ will keep operating repatriation flights to Poland. Everything is ready at the Katowice Airport for the further maintenance of the domestic planes. According to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry, there are currently about 2,000 Kazakh citizens on the consular registry in Ukraine.

“We have two employees from our European stations who are currently there. So we have fully established contact with the entire airport. All services are very active in helping us, providing full assistance so that our passengers can safely fly and reach their destination here in the Republic of Kazakhstan,” Alexander Neboga, Vice President of Air Astana said.

All those who have arrived are grateful to Kazakh diplomats, who provided them with comprehensive support.

“First of all, the Kazakh Foreign Ministry launched the Telegram group, where all the information was sent. There were also phone numbers to call. But, obviously, not with the first try. You could call there and get all the necessary information. Then we went to the consulate, we were all signed up, registered. The guys found the bus. No one wants to go at this difficult time. They put us on a bus and helped us get through most of the line. There was a police car, which led us along the oncoming lane. They were trying to speed things up so that we were among the first to pass through the border, but the number of people was simply enormous,” noted Nikolai Tatarenko, passenger of repatriation flight.
