Second bus carrying Kazakh citizens crossed Ukraine-Poland border, Foreign Ministry reports

One more group of Kazakh citizens crossed the Ukraine-Poland border safely. Since last week, our compatriots accompanied by diplomats have been trying to get to the Polish city of Katowice, from where the repatriation flights will be carried out. The Foreign Ministry has previously reported that there were 80 people at the gathering place. Also, 12 Kazakh students were sent from Kharkiv to Lviv by train. Kazakh citizens in different cities of Ukraine are asked to contact the Embassy to inform them of their whereabouts and to keep in constant contact with the diplomats.

“Passengers on the repatriation flight will be allowed to cross the Ukraine-Poland border without visas, and will also be exempted from mandatory quarantine, PCR tests and presentation of vaccine passports,” Aibek Smadiyarov, Kazakh Foreign Ministry spokesperson, said.

More than 600 people reached out to the Kazakh Embassy in Kyiv and expressed their wish to return to their homeland. The Foreign Ministry assured that assistance would be provided to all, and more repatriation flights would be arranged in the future.
