Kazakh residents try to preserve and popularize national traditions

Popularization of national traditions. A needlewoman from Turkistan region, Almagul Yessenkulova, decided to share the secrets of creating felt products and teach teenagers the technique of patchwork. She received a state grant for the development of an arts club. In the classroom, the woman, with her students, sews kurak-korpe, pillows, bags and bedspreads.

“I opened the club at the request of many parents, because now children are very dependent on phones and the Internet. And here they learn creativity and needlework, learn to fantasize,” the craftswoman said.

Aktau resident Abugali Mynbayev also received another grant from the state. He teaches children the fine arts. The artist rented a studio, bought materials for work. Painting lessons are conducted in a playful way twice a week. And to support talented children, their mentor plans to hold an art exhibition before the end of the year.

“I want to be a stylist when I grow up. Thanks to this club, I learn to draw beautiful pictures. Now we are learning to draw fruits,” shared a student Akmarzhan Tynyshbek.
