Council of Elders of Organization of Turkic States starts its work

The creation of a special economic zone ‘TURAN’ in Turkistan was discussed at the Council of Elders of the Organization of Turkic States. Ikram Adyrbekov, a member of the organization from Kazakhstan, expressed support for the initiative of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to locate the headquarters of the Turkic Investment and Integration Fund on the site of the Astana International Financial Center. Elders of the member States take part in the meeting of the Council of Elders in Istanbul. The implementation of the concept document "Prospects of the Turkic world-2040" was discussed at the meeting. It is aimed at further strengthening cooperation between the Turkic states.

“By the decision of the heads of State, the Council of Elders resumed its work. The main goal is to present the implementation of the measures taken at the summit and proposals will be made on it, including on the development of Turkistan as the spiritual capital of the Turkic world,” said Ikram Adyrbekov, a member of the Council of Elders.
