‘Kazakhstan Khalkyna’ fund receives nearly US$267 million

Kazakhstan Khalkyna Social Fund has already received over 115 billion tenge (US$266.9 million), announced the official representative Alibek Abdilov. He noted that the submission of applications from Kazakh citizens in need of assistance is underway. Any citizen of the country has the right to lodge it. To do this, a person needs to go to atamekenim.kz website, where the request for assistance will be considered by the board of the foundation.

“People ask for absolutely different things, in different directions. Of course, first of all, it concerns health and treatment, both of adults and children. They come to us with diagnoses of rare diseases, including orphan diseases. This issue has already been considered at the first expert committee. I think in the near future the foundation will be able to make the first decision on financing the first applications for treatment. Here, the priority is given not to the one who submitted the application earlier, but according to the urgency of the application itself,” Abdilov said.
