Scientists from research institutes to teach at Kazakh universities

Leading scientists of research institutes will teach at universities in Kazakhstan. This was stated by Minister of Education and Science Askhat Aimagambetov. They will also review students’ works and manage their research projects. At the initial stage, 500 educational programs for personnel training will be developed; undergraduates and doctoral students will have access to research institutes and their laboratories.

“So far we are talking about involving 300 scientists from research institutes for teaching. Until that time, they did not actively participate in teaching, although there is a certain need in it,” said Kazakh Minister of Education and Science.

In addition, it is expected that 100 joint dissertation councils and the e-lab information system will be launched in the country. In turn, it will help researchers get information on which university in the country has the necessary laboratory to use its technical capabilities.
