Third of iKOMEK’s applications concerns Omicron strain

Over a third of appeals to the iKOMEK center from the residents of the capital are about the Omicron variant. Its specialists have summed up this data over the first month of this year. In total, over 224,000 people appealed to the center in January, 72,000 out of them needed advice on health issues, head of the iKOMEK city center Zhannat Dubirova said. According to her, about 97.5 percent of such appeals from the residents of the capital were fulfilled.

“In January, our residents were mostly interested in the symptoms of COVID-19, issues of attaching to a clinic, requesting a house call, or calling mobile ambulance teams. Also, the contact numbers of the clinics, to which they are attached, and the issues of vaccination and booster shots became more popular at the end of the month. That is, just like the people of our entire planet, our residents are most interested in the spread of Omicron,” said Zhannat Dubirova, Head of iKOMEK Center, Nur-Sultan.

The iKOMEK contact center has been operating since 2018. It was created based on the experience of similar centers in the United States and Canada. People can appeal here with healthcare, education, public transport issues and, in general, problems of the life of the city. You can contact the operators by calling 109, or through social networks or a mobile application.
