Kazakhstan improves cybersecurity

Cybersecurity at top of mind. Today Kazakhstan pays great attention to this area at all levels. As a result, the country topped nine positions up in the Global Cybersecurity Index. Now Kazakhstan takes the 31st place among all countries. When evaluating countries, international experts took into account a large number of criteria, from the legislative framework to events hosted by special agencies. According to industry analysts, such growth in cybersecurity in the country was facilitated by the work of relevant services and systematic actions on the development of cyber literacy among private companies, which invest considerable funds in this.

“I would like to highlight such initiative as a Bug Bounty for all organizations by the Center for analysis and investigation of cyber-attacks in Kazakhstan. The program assumes that large companies not only make no secret of their own vulnerabilities or problems in the cybersecurity process, but also, on the contrary, are highly interested in being found by observers who can report in a private mode, so that they are able and have time to fix it. The combination of all these factors and, undoubtedly, the synergy of states and private companies lead to the improvement of cybersecurity in Kazakhstan as a whole,” said Yevgeny Pitolin, a cybersecurity expert.
