Nearly 40% of population in Kazakhstan complete census online

Nearly 40 percent of people in Kazakhstan completed the census online. This is more than 7 and a half million residents, said Head of the Bureau of National Statistics Nurbolat Aidapkelov. According to him, those who did not use this method can answer questions of interviewers offline. The specialists are doing rounds that will last until October 30.

“Our interviewers asked over 3,792,000 people. In general, a total of 60 percent completed the census. The population census is a particularly important event for the country. Therefore, I urge everyone to make their contribution. I would like to note that interviewers are also citizens of our country. We ask you to show respect and understanding to their work!” Aidapkelov said.

A control round of respondents is planned at the end of the main stage of the census. This work will be carried out from November 1 to 7. About 10 percent of people will be interviewed during this time.
