Berlin hosts exhibition of Kazakh artist

30 paintings for the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence. The exhibition of the domestic artist Madikhan Kalmakhanov is taking place in the German capital. The exhibition in one of the Berlin galleries displays works that depict Kazakh Tazy dogs, majestic tulpars and national instruments. In addition, visitors will see vivid still lifes, landscapes and expressive portraits. The exhibition will run until the end of November.

“One German artist gave a very high praise to this work, saying that glass is well shown here and different glare is reflected. He said that it is very rare when someone can draw like this. Such work can only be done by an artist with a good eye, a trained hand and great creative potential. Interest in Kazakhstan is growing now, because talented artists are contributing to international art. Although I’d like to tell you that Kazakh art is one of the most vibrant and interesting,” gallery founder Alexey Schreiner said.
