Submission of applications for ‘Zhiger’ Award continues in Kazakhstan

Submission of applications to participate in the competition for the Zhiger Award  continues in Kazakhstan. The selection of applicants, which started on August 20, will last for one more week. The award named after the famous Kazakh TV journalist Beissen Kuranbek was first launched last year. Its purpose is to identify talented and young journalists and promote their professional growth.

“We have reduced the number of categories. While last year we had four categories, this year we have got only one. It is the “Best TV Program on Social Topics” category. We will choose the winners of the first, second and third places in this category. The jury consists of Beissen Kuranbek’s colleagues. They will decide the winner on September 27,” said organizer Bibigul Kulaman.

The awards ceremony will take place within the Astana Media Week. The winners will receive cash prizes.
