National Census kicks off on September 1 in Kazakhstan

A nationwide population census has started in Kazakhstan. It consists of two stages. Thus, until October 15, citizens can complete the survey online on a special website sanaq.gov.kz. The virtual assistant will help to fill out the information for oneself and family members. As for the second stage, it will be carried out in a traditional format. Interviewers will collect answers from October 1 to October 30. The main innovation of this stage will be the use of electronic tablets. During the census period, the call center at 14-46 will be available, from both mobile and landline phones. Since gaining independence, the census has been conducted for the third time.

“I took the survey online. My family consists of six people. It took me only 30 minutes to fill out the questionnaires. Everything is very simple,” said Nurbolat Aidapkelov, Head, Bureau of National Statistics.
