How Kazakhs school prepare for new academic year?

A year and a half later, schools in Kazakhstan return to their former regular format of work. However, one of the conditions is that teachers and all school personnel must be fully vaccinated. Kazakh Chief State Sanitary Doctor indicated the algorithm for ensuring sanitary rules in educational institutions of the capital. Obligations include the introduction of the Ashyq app at the entrance to buildings as well as a mask rule. The principal of one of the schools in Nur-Sultan spoke about the readiness of educational organizations.

“As all schools in the capital, we are fully prepared for the new academic year, according to the requirements established by the chief sanitary doctor. All teachers and our staff have been vaccinated since February. Now all school personnel are 100 percent vaccinated. We are currently conducting explanatory work on the need and importance of vaccination not only with students, but also with parents. We are preparing the school building, each classroom in accordance with safety requirements,” said Saule Azimkhanova, Principal at the Gymnasium #30 in Nur-Sultan.

According to experts, the school schedule will be organized according to a rolling schedule. This is necessary so that the start of the lessons and breaks take place at different times. This rule will be observed not only by students, but also by all employees of educational institutions. Also, schools have the right to decide on the length of the school week themselves. For example, the #30 gymnasium of the capital will now study on a six-day basis. This is necessary for sanitary safety and maintaining social distancing.
