Kazakhstan and Turkey: 30 years of diplomatic relations

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey. A press conference attended by public figures and politicians was held in the Kazakh Embassy in Ankara. The participants discussed in detail the partnership based on a common history and cultural and spiritual ties. They also noted that cooperation between the two countries is rapidly developing in all areas.

“Diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey could be a model for other countries. Turkey has supported Kazakhstan for many years. In 30 years, Kazakhstan has become the most developed country in the region. It is a significant year for our countries,” diplomat Hulusi Kylych said.

In addition, the participants were presented with a new book entitled ‘Two Peoples, One Heart’. It contains the works by Kazakh and Turkish schoolchildren.

“This book includes works written by 11 students of our school, such as poems, fairy tales and essays. It also includes the works by more than 40 school students from Kazakhstan. We translated them from Kazakh into Turkish and vice versa. Thus, the children of the two countries shared their own views on friendship, happiness and independence,” school principal Aladdin Kurt said.
