Kazakhstan accelerates digital transformation

Innovative development is a priority for Kazakhstan. The international scientific practical conference dedicated to the transformation of the IT industry, which was held in Nur-Sultan, discussed the importance of digital development in the country.  It was virtually and physically attended by IT experts, representatives of the state and business sector, as well as scientists from Russia, Turkey, Finland and Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Gumilyov Eurasian National University. For a quarter of a century, about 1,000 specialists have been annually graduating from the university. They are in demand not only in Kazakhstan, but also abroad. To this end, the state provides educational grants and the university constantly updates its educational and technological base.

“It’s all about the workforce. We have almost 3,800 students at three levels and about 140 lecturers. This year we are opening a new major, which is Artificial Intelligence Technology, at three levels, meaning bachelor’s, masters and doctorate degrees. We have strengthened our School of Information Security,” said Shakhmaran Seilov, Dean of Faculty of Information Technology at Gumilyov Eurasian National University.
