Workers in Kazakhstan with medical exemption from vaccination do not need to take PCR tests

Workers in Kazakhstan with medical exemption from vaccination do not need to take PCR tests to be allowed to their workplace. Today the Chairperson of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control Committee at Kazakh Health Ministry Aizhan Yesmagambetova put an end to this controversial and much-debated issue. To date, about 11,000 people throughout the country have medical contraindications, she noted. If we take into account that majority of the employees are vaccinated, and the rest regularly takes PCR tests, then citizens with medical exemption will not have to take tests.

“Those who have a medical exemption do not need to take a PCR test for COVID-19 regularly. To date, nearly 11,000 people have medical contraindications. There are not many contraindications to vaccination. If the majority of employees in a team are vaccinated, they will protect the small group that has contraindications,” said the committee head.
