Astana Opera International Opera Academy’s first tour performance to take place in Karagandy

Students of the Astana Opera International Opera Academy will go on their first tour. On February 27, they will perform in front of Karaganda admirers of classical music. Young singers will perform well-known and beloved works, which represent a golden fund of operatic repertoire. According to artistic director of the academy Timur Urmancheyev, the concerts will continue in Almaty and Shymkent. There, the artists will present the ‘Shining of the Opera’ program, consisting of arias by Western European, Russian and Kazakh composers.

“Of course, our performers are preparing, they are looking forward to this tour. But this is not their first performance. Almost every month they present new concert programs, new arias, new chamber works, and they have repeatedly performed at concerts. But this is their first tour. In fact, this is such a significant event for us. We have prepared a program called “Shining of the Opera”, where the most famous opera arias will be performed by all voices. As for other cities, we will perform in a wonderful opera house in Almaty. We are now negotiating on touring there and perform in front of the Almaty public,” said Timur Urmancheyev, Artistic Director, Astana Opera International Opera Academy.
