Kazakhstan plans to boost oil supplies abroad

Kazakhstan intends to boost oil supplies abroad. If in 2020, the country exported a little more than 59 million tonnes of black gold, then this year, Kazakhstan plans to significantly increase the number of oil supplies. In particular, 12 million tonnes of oil were exported to China last year. 20 million tonnes will be sent there in 2021.

“Oil is sent to China in transit from the Russian Federation. We transport more than ten million tonnes of oil from Russia to China, in transit through Kazakhstan, which, accordingly, improves our economy,” said Daniyar Berlibayev, Deputy Chairperson of Corporate Center of the Kazmunaygas National Company.

Over seven million tonnes of oil were produced in Kazakhstan at the end of January 2021. The country continues to reduce the oil production due to the fulfillment of obligations within the OPEC+ agreements.
