Trade value between Kazakhstan and China reaches US$11.26 billion in six months

The trade turnover between Kazakhstan and China has exceeded US$11 billion over six months of this year. This is a record figure, announced Kazakh Ministry of National Economy. The volume of exports was the highest as well. The supplies from Kazakhstan to China overtopped US$6 billion. Experts attribute this particularly to a four-fold increase in oil export.

Meanwhile, the trade turnover between the city of Almaty and China grew 51 percent and amounted to US$2.85 billion. The parties are set to keep strengthening trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation and partnership in innovation and new technologies. According to a memorandum signed the day before, Almaty will work closely with Sichuan province in science and education field. They also plan to establish profound cooperation in IT industry and implement Smart City projects.
