New wind power station to be launched in Atyrau region in September

New wind power station will be launched in Atyrau region soon. Now, 24 wind turbines are installed on more than 500 hectares. The facility, construction of which began two years ago, is planned to be launched in September. There is a high demand for electricity in Makat district, where there are three settlements and two villages with a population of more than 31,000 people. The number of new production facilities in the oil-producing regions is growing every year. When the project is fully implemented, this wind farm will be able to produce up to 48 megawatts per hour. Experts say that this is enough to cover all districts in the region.

“Now, the project is 70 percent complete. The reason we chose this place is that it is always windy here. We have everything we need. We plan to complete the construction on time,” site supervisor Berlibek Aitkozhayev said.
