Trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Russia grows by 27%

Kazakhstan and Russia are strengthening cooperation. Since the beginning of 2021, the trade turnover between the two countries has amounted to almost US$11 billion. This is 26.7 percent more than last year. Wheat, rice, Portland cement, iron ores, natural-gas condensate, fertilizers and more were sent from Kazakhstan to the neighboring state. In addition, the volume of Russian investments in our country also shows a positive dynamics. It increased by more than 10 percent and exceeded US$12 billion. Most of them were in the manufacturing industry, trade, financial and insurance fields. The countries are also working on various joint large projects, 30 of which are underway. These are projects in trade, construction, pharmaceutical, petrochemical and light industries.
