Demand for loans from small and medium-sized businesses keeps growing in Kazakhstan

The demand for loans from small and medium-sized businesses keeps growing in Kazakhstan. Meanwhile, the large business segment sees a decrease. The Financial Stability and Research Department of the country’s main financial institution reported the results of the survey of banks. In the first quarter of 2021, 155,000 applications were received from small businesses. The medium-sized business has grown by 9 percent during this time. Banks expect an increase in demand from all business segments in the third quarter. Meanwhile, they do not plan to change the terms of lending.
