An archaeological expedition examines a mound on the banks of the Taldy River

The main object of 2020 is studied by archaeological expedition of the Buketov Karaganda University. A huge burial mound on the banks of the Taldy River is a big surprise as it has multi-layered monument from the times of the Golden Hordes to the Bronze Age. The team of archaeologists is led by Igor Kukushkin, who is an employee of the Saryarka Archaeological Institute, the chief bronze artist of Sary-Arka, the discoverer of the famous steppe pyramid.
