The Collapse of the Golden Horde
In 1346 - a plague epidemic swept the Golden Horde - from Khorezm all the way to Crimea. Merchants, travelers, itinerant monks and pilgrims became the main spread of the epidemic. «Black Death» had devastated the Golden Horde. The population died in thousands, and the survivors left cities. The movement of caravans along the Silk Road stopped. The causative agent of the plague is the plague bacillus. A person could die within 24 hours after contact with a sick person.
