Incomes of Kazakh citizens increase by almost 12 percent

Kazakh citizens living in cities on average earn 221,000 tenge (US$514.47) a month. Based on the data from the Bureau of Statistics, experts of the ranking.kz website calculated the salaries of the country’s population. As for the residents of rural areas, the average wage amounts to 161,000 tenge (US$374.80).

Metropolises are leading in terms of the amount of money income. This figure reaches almost 276,000 in national currency (US$642.51) in the capital, and a little over 246,000 (US$572.67) in Almaty. Indicator of Karagandy region is almost similar. Residents of Turkistan and Zhambyl regions, as well as Shymkent city receive the least amount. The difference between the incomes of urban and rural residents decreased from 40 to 38 percent.
