Kazakh vaccine passports to be recognized abroad

Travel without barriers - Kazakh citizens who have received the coronavirus vaccine will soon be able to go to Thailand, Hungary and Mongolia without a PCR test proof, the country’s Health Minister Alexey Tsoy announced at a press briefing. These countries themselves have offered mutual recognition of vaccine certificates, he said. All necessary work is underway. Health professionals are currently working to ensure that Kazakh health passports are recognized everywhere, Tsoy added. To date, Kazakhstan is continuing its phased plan for the immunization of the population. There is no shortage of vaccines. Over 2.5 million residents have already been inoculated. Tsoy also urged all citizens not to neglect the vaccination, because 800 people have already been reinfected with the dangerous virus.

“This should be understood not only in Kazakhstan, as the reinfection trend exists in other countries as well. Thousands of people in Europe and elsewhere are getting reinfected with COVID-19. That is why it is very important for people to get vaccinated and thus protect themselves and their loved ones. First of all, this should be done in age groups over 60 years old, especially for those with chronic diseases. Here we recommend that all citizens get actively involved,” said Alexey Tsoy, Kazakh Health Minister.
