President Tokayev congratulates Kazakh citizens on People’s Unity Day

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated citizens on the upcoming People’s Unity Day. The text of the congratulation was published on Akorda website. President noted that this wonderful holiday embodies the values of friendship and solidarity, mutual respect and trust, which have been praised in the country since ancient times.

“Over the years of independence, the fundamental principle of “unity in diversity” has turned a wide palette of cultures and traditions of Kazakhstan into our priceless treasure. Solidarity, unity, patriotism became the core of the national code. Our people are united in their desire to build just, progressive, prosperous country. Thanks to the stability and harmony in the society, mutual support and constructive labor, we will overcome all difficulties and achieve our goals. I wish you all good health, happiness and prosperity. Let the atmosphere of harmony and mutual understanding reign in every home, in every family!” states the congratulation.

People’s Unity Day in Kazakhstan is traditionally celebrated on May 1 since 1996.
