Pavlodar region plans to develop year-round tourism

Medical, recreational, agricultural, environmental, industrial, business, sports, cultural, educational, and sacral - focusing on these types of tourism will allow Pavlodar region to develop this industry on a year-round basis. A corresponding concept has already been developed. Scientists from Toraighyrov University worked on it together with the experts from the Tourism Development Department. The authors of the project propose to increase the volume of tourism services 11-fold. Developers assured that by 2025 the tourism industry will contribute 1 percent to GRP.

“First, we propose to unload Lake Zhassybai. It is better to develop tourism not only on its territory, but also on lakes Toraigyr and Sabyndykol", said  the concept developer Galymbek Azhayev.

The authors of the project propose to develop year-round tourism in all districts of the region. Experts divided them according to the attractiveness of the landscape. For this, a mobile application has been developed, which contains useful information for a potential tourist.

“The application contains data about travel agencies and their social media accounts. We’ve established a user feedback system. They will only need to use the QR code to learn about tourist sites. Also, everything is illustrated with pictures made by our local photographers,” noted Nazira Ospanova, Head of Information Technology Department at Toraighyrov University.

For the convenience of travellers, tourist sites in Pavlodar region, as well as services and routes, are integrated into the 2GIS search engine. The data is constantly updated.
