Satellite internet may launch in Kazakhstan by end of 2021

Satellite Internet will appear in Kazakhstan. It is expected to start functioning by the end of 2021. Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin discussed these issues with Executive Chairman of UK’s OneWeb company Sunil Mittal. The latter spoke about the progress in launching satellites from the Baikonur Cosmodrome as part of the deployed global satellite network. 110 spacecrafts have now been launched into space. More than eight launches from the Baikonur Cosmodrome are planned for the next two years. The global satellite network OneWeb will consist of 648 satellites located at an altitude of 1,200 kilometers. It will expand the coverage of the World Wide Web and significantly increase the speed of data transmission.
