President Tokayev congratulates with Day of Gratitude

Today, Kazakh citizens celebrate the Day of Gratitude. On this holiday, the peoples of the country thank each other for their tolerance and hospitality in those difficult times when Kazakhstan welcomed millions of immigrants. This date was chosen because on March 1, 1995, the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was formed. The organization occupies a central position in the system of state ethnic policy and includes more than 800 ethno-cultural associations. The Day of Gratitude has been celebrated in the country since 2016.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev congratulated Kazakh people on this holiday. His speech is published on the official website of Akorda. President noted that the holiday embodies a strong tradition of mutual assistance and strong unity of our people. The head of state thanked his compatriots for their creative work in the name of the motherland.

“I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of Gratitude! This wonderful holiday, announced by the First President of Kazakhstan at the session of the People’s Assembly in 2015, acquired a special meaning and deep symbolism. Its values embody strong traditions of mutual assistance and indestructible unity of our people. I thank my compatriots for their constructive work in the name of the Motherland.”
