Kazakhstan improves quality of higher education

The number of students in private universities of Kazakhstan is growing. For example, the indicator increased by nearly 54 percent in 2016-2020 alone. This was stated during a meeting of Kazakh Minister of Education Askhat Aimagambetov with rectors of the country’s universities. They also raised an issue of improving the quality of education in Kazakhstan. In particular, the discussion included the work on expanding the academic independence of higher educational institutions. According to experts, an extensive work is currently underway to relieve teachers in Kazakhstan from red tape. A total of 11 forms of reporting were canceled in universities of the country. In addition, Kazakh universities will issue their own diplomas.
