7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions to be held in Kazakhstan on September 14-15

Next week Kazakhstan will host a global event. 108 delegations from 50 countries are expected to attend the seventh Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. The topical issues will include the role of religions in strengthening spiritual and moral values ​​nowadays, the contribution of religious figures and politicians to the global promotion of interfaith dialogue, countering extremism, radicalism and terrorism. The subject of women’s contribution to the sustainable development of society will also be raised. Chairperson of the Senate of the Kazakh Parliament and head of the Secretariat of the Congress Maulen Ashimbayev reported to the Head of State on the preparations for the event. He noted that the upcoming forum is of great interest to the global media. Representatives of over 200 international and more than 300 Kazakh media outlets have already been accredited.
