Beds availability for patients with coronavirus to be tracked online

An interactive map of bed capacity was launched in Kazakhstan. It will allow assessing the situation in medical organizations where coronavirus patients are treated, stated Kazakh Minister of Health Azhar Giniyat at a government meeting. According to her, the map will be available to relevant departments and mayors’ offices. This will facilitate taking prompt measures in combating the dangerous virus. Currently, majority of COVID-19 cases were recorded in six regions: Aktobe, West Kazakhstan, Karagandy, Pavlodar, Akmola and Kostanai. At the same time, over the past week, the epidemiological situation in Almaty has stabilized. In general, infectious beds occupancy in the country is at 30 percent, intensive care beds are 7 percent full.

“80 percent of patients are unvaccinated or persons vaccinated more than six months ago, which once again proves the need for timely revaccination. To date, more than five million people have gotten it, but three regions are behind in this regard. The revaccination rate is below 55 percent in Atyrau, Karagandy and West Kazakhstan regions,” the minister said.
