Eid Al-Adha celebration to start on 9 July

This year, a holy holiday of all Muslims Eid al-Adha will be celebrated on July 9 and last until July 11. During the celebration days, religious believers visit mosques, where they perform an Eid prayer and make sacrifices. In addition, it is customary to visit relatives and gather for a festive celebration. The Supreme Mufti of Kazakhstan urged not to raise prices for livestock, and not to speculate on the high demand of buyers during the days of Eid al-Adha.

“During the days of the holy Eid al-Adha, I urge the sellers to assist and help our Muslim believers, and not to speculate on the prices of livestock. This would be a great reward for all of us,” said Nauryzbai Kazhy Taganuly, Chairperson of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kazakhstan.
