Turkistan can become tourist capital of Turkic world

Turkistan can become a tourist capital of the Turkic world. Kazakh vice Minister of Culture and Sports Yerzhan Yerkinbayev announced this at a meeting of tourism ministers of Turkic States Organization’s member states. The event participants discussed the issues of increasing the number of flights between the countries, identifying the tourist potential of the Silk Road and implementing joint projects. According to experts, on the map of world tourism, combined tours to the Central Asian countries are more popular than tours to just one country. The participants of the summit stressed that their goal is to make the Turkic world one of the most important economic, cultural and humanitarian regions of the 21st century. The next meeting of the Ministers in charge of Tourism of the Organization of Turkic States will be convened in Turkistan in 2023.
