Passenger traffic of Kazakh airlines increases by 5 percent compared to last year

Since the beginning of the year, Kazakh airlines transported almost two million people. Compared to 2021, air passenger traffic increased by 5 percent. As for the pre-pandemic period, there is an increase of 17 percent. This was reported by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the country. At the same time, the domestic passenger traffic constituted 1.5 million people, while 500,000 Kazakh citizens boarded international flights. Currently, domestic flights are operated by five national airlines on 57 routes. International flights are carried out to 24 countries in 77 destinations. Among them are Turkey, the UAE, Germany, Egypt, South Korea, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Maldives, Thailand, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and others.
