WHO regional director for Europe arrives in Kazakhstan

Dr. Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe, arrived in Kazakhstan to learn about the country's experience in the development of primary medical and social care and determine the prospects for cooperation. He has already spoken to students in Almaty and intends to visit the medical institutions of Issyk town.

“There are two goals for my visit. First of all, the minister and I will sign a document on a joint work plan for the next two years. We will participate in the opening of the international demonstration platform. How to properly provide medical and social assistance to people in rural areas? It is important because nine out of 10 patients tend to often get sick because they are not leading a healthy lifestyle and are not eating right. I will take part in the meeting of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly. I’m going to give a talk there on general health for all,” said Hans Kluge, WHO Regional Director for Europe.
