CSTO peacekeepers to leave Kazakhstan today

The CSTO peacekeeping forces will begin to leave Kazakhstan today. The withdrawal of the contingent is expected to take ten days. Currently, there are about 2,000 militaries from Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Tajikistan in the country. The peacekeeping contingent handed over the guard of strategic facilities to Kazakh servicemen. The CSTO peacekeepers guarded strategic facilities in Almaty city and surrounding areas. The temporary headquarters of the forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was located on the territory of the Military Institute of the Kazakh Ground Forces.
