Withdrawal of CSTO troops to begin in 2 days

The main mission of the CSTO peacekeeping forces in Kazakhstan has been completed. The withdrawal of the contingent will begin in two days. It will be a phased process that will take no more than 10 days. This was announced by Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the meeting of the Mazhilis. The Head of State said that the mission of peacekeepers was successful. More than 2,000 CSTO soldiers arrived in Kazakhstan over mass riots. The peacekeepers were deployed to protect strategic facilities.
