Kazakhstan comes 8th in Junior Eurovision Song Contest

The Kazakh team entered the top ten at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Paris. The duet of Alinur Khamzin and Beknur Zhanibekuly finished the competition with the 8th result, gaining 121 points.

“I know that we performed well, at a high level. I think everything is fair. I am very happy,” Alinur Khamzin shared.

“Most importantly, we have contributed to the history of the development of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. Of course, we were among the favorites, so the competitors were very serious about us. Moreover, all mass media wrote about us. I think we have fulfilled our social mission, and this is already a success. Therefore, I congratulate everyone,” said Khabar Agency Chairperson Yerlan Bekkhozhin.

The singer Malena became the winner of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest this year. The second place was taken by the participant from Poland, the third - by the young singer from France.
