First results of census show population hit over 19 million

19,169,550 people live in Kazakhstan. Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin reported on first results of the nationwide census to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Mamin noted that men account for almost 49 percent of the population and women – for 51 percent. There are over 11 million working-age people. The share of Kazakhs in the ethnic composition has reached 70 percent.
