Kazakh stuntmen conquer Bollywood

Kazakh stuntmen are conquering the world film industry. Members of Nomad Stunts are planning to join the filming of a large-scale Bollywood movie. Now a team of stunt doubles is preparing a production project and a storyboard. After customer’s approval, filming of the stunts will begin next year. Five stuntmen from Kazakhstan and 30 from India will be involved in complex and thrilling action scenes.

“This time I was invited as an action director, that is, to shoot the action completely with my team, with my operators. The whole process was entrusted to us. The project tells the story of a father and his son during the war of Pakistan with India. There is a small part about love, but basically this is such an action movie where the father saves his young son from the war, wants to take him away, to protect him from everything, that is it’s such a big action,” said Zhaidarbek Kunguzhinov, Head of International Stunt Team ‘Nomad Stunts’.

The Nomad Stunts team consists not only of Kazakh stuntmen, but also of professionals from Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Germany, Australia and Bulgaria. The international team is known for its brilliant work in such films as The Expendables 2, 47 Ronin, Conan the Barbarian, Nomad, Mongol, Tomiris and Mulan. The spectacular action scenes with their participation were repeatedly praised by world professionals in the film industry. Recently, team member and stuntwoman Aliya Iskakova won the prestigious Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television Award.

“While working in Canada, she was offered to be a stunt double in the ‘Kung-Fu’ series, and she agreed. She was nominated about two weeks ago for Best Stunts, Best Stuntperson for that series and won the award,” added Kunguzhinov.

Domestic action masters who have made themselves known to the world and demonstrated their professionalism in famous blockbusters regularly receive offers of cooperation from major foreign film companies. They are real fighters of the invisible front and duplicate actors in historical films, modern blockbusters and large-scale action films. The Nomad Stunts team plans to take part in another major Hollywood film project next year.
