Anniversaries of Akhmet Baitursynov and Roza Baglanova included in UNESCO observances

Anniversaries of two legendary Kazakh personalities were included in the calendar of UNESCO observances. These are the 150th anniversary of the linguist and writer Akhmet Baitursynov and the 100th anniversary of the Kazakh opera and pop singer Roza Baglanova. This decision was made during the 41st session of the UNESCO General Conference at the suggestion of the country. The special resolution adopted is designed for 2022 and 2023. The list of anniversaries for the next year included a total of 67 observances presented by the Organization member states. Kazakhstan joined it on May 22, 1992.
