Bakhtiyar Adamzhan takes over world stages

Ballet dancer from Kazakhstan Bakhtiyar Adamzhan wins the hearts of the sophisticated Italian audience. The leading soloist of the “Astana Opera” theatre and the Honored Figure of Kazakhstan successfully performed on the stages of Teatro dell'Opera di Roma and Arena di Verona. Today he is well known abroad. Foreign mass media have repeatedly highly appreciated his skill, artistry, technique and special ability to convey the aura of performances in dance. This time, the atmosphere of the ancient amphitheater Arena di Verona, which can accommodate 15,000 spectators, helped a lot, Bakhtiyar Adamzhan shared.

“There were many invitations, but they were all cancelled and rescheduled. We started in May. I visited Russia first. Then we came to Italy, and I visited Rome. Our tour in Italy started with Arena di Verona. This was a gala concert of the famous “Etoile La Scala”, “Roberto Bolle and Friends”. The big festival ended with this ballet,” Adamzhan said.

On September 14, 15 and 16, the Kazakh ballet dancer brilliantly presented the role of Quasimodo in the grand premiere of the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma “Notre Dame de Paris” by the outstanding choreographer Roland Petit. Bakhtiyar Adamzhan demonstrated a high level of Kazakh ballet in Europe, but admits that he missed the Kazakh audience.

“A tremendous job has been done. I prepared very carefully for Rome. Now I need to pay attention to Astana Opera for 1-2 months. I was invited to Jamaica in December, but I had to say no. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s Independence. I think this is a very important anniversary for our country, and therefore I must celebrate it at home,” the artist noted.
